What is Shunya?
Shunya is an Indian streetwear clothing label that began in Odisha and sells unisex oversized graphic t-shirts online at wearshunya.com, in three collections. Odisha carries the Konark Sun Temple, Jagannath of Puri, Maa Samaleswari, Sambalpuri ikat and Pasapali prints, the Mahanadi and the Hirakud Dam. Mumbai 01 is the City Series and Ganpati 01 is the Festival Series.
Is wearshunya.com the official Shunya store?
Yes. wearshunya.com is the official online store of Shunya, the streetwear label that began in Odisha, and our Instagram is @wear.shunya. Other businesses also use the name Shunya or Sunya; this Shunya makes the oversized graphic tees sold here.
What does the name Shunya mean?
Shunya (शून्य) is the Sanskrit word for zero. Every design starts there: a blank oversized tee, then one place or festival we love.
What fabric are Shunya t-shirts made of?
It depends on the design. Konark, Samaleshwari, Sambalpuri, Pasapali, Hirakud, Odisha Fusion and Bombay Palm are 260 GSM terry cotton (90% cotton, 10% polyester). Mumbai Sunrise is 180 GSM 100% cotton. Ganpati Acid Wash is 240 GSM acid-washed cotton. Every other design is 240 GSM 100% cotton. Every piece is cut in an oversized drop-shoulder silhouette, and the exact fabric is listed on each product page.
How do I wash a Shunya t-shirt?
Turn it inside out and machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, with similar colours and a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Line dry in shade and do not tumble dry, because dryer heat cracks prints and direct sun fades colour. If needed, cool iron inside out, never directly on the print. Do not dry clean. What sizes do you offer, and how do the tees fit?
Every design comes in XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL, and Bombay Palm also comes in 3XL. All tees are unisex and cut as a true oversized, drop-shoulder fit. Take your usual size for a boxy look, or size up for a looser drape. See the Care & Fit Guide for more sizing advice.
Do you ship across India?
Yes. Shipping is free on every order across India. Orders ship within 2 business days and are delivered within 7 business days, and a tracking link is emailed once your parcel is on its way.
Do you ship outside India?
No. We ship within India only.
What is your returns policy?
Every piece is printed to order, so we accept returns only for items that arrive damaged, defective or misprinted. Email shunyaa26@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your order, with your order details, clear photos of the issue and an unboxing video, and we will arrange a refund or replacement.
Can I exchange a tee for a different size?
No. We do not offer exchanges. For a different item or size, please place a new order.
Where can I buy a Jagannath t-shirt?
The Puri oversized t-shirt carries the marks of Jagannath: the trishul, the Sudarshan chakra and three dots. It is printed on 240 GSM cotton in four colourways, sizes XS to XXL.
Which Shunya designs are inspired by Odisha?
Temples: Konark, Puri and Samaleshwari. Weaves: Sambalpuri, Sambalpuri V2 and Pasapali. Waters: Mahanadi and Hirakud. Odisha Fusion combines the Konark wheel, Jagannath and the Sambalpuri grid, and Odisha Minimal is a line-art take on the temple, the conch and the wheel. See them all in the Odisha collection.
Are the designs authentic to Odisha?
Yes. Every Odisha design is built around a real monument, weave or river of Odisha, from the Konark Sun Temple to the Sambalpuri ikat loom, reinterpreted for the present.
How do restocks work?
